In 2025, CIAC, Uzbekistan’s Credit-Information Analytical Center, introduced a government-backed service allowing individuals to impose or remove a self-ban on taking out loans.

By October 2025, nearly 150,000 citizens had used this free service to protect themselves from unauthorized borrowing and strengthen personal financial security.

The service was recognized at ICTWeek Uzbekistan 2025 as “the most useful state service of 2025,” highlighting CIAC’s contribution to consumer protection, responsible lending, and public trust in the credit reporting system.
