On June 6, 2025, Credit Information Analytical Center, Uzbekistan, introduced the “Credit Ban” service, a voluntary mechanism that allows individuals to temporarily prohibit banks, microfinance institutions, and credit card issuers from granting loans in their name.

As of January 1, 2026, the service had been activated by 438,322 citizens, reflecting growing public awareness of fraud prevention and personal financial security. The service is available free of charge through the CIAC mobile application, portal.infokredit.uz, the Unified Government Services Portal, and Public Service Centers.

The initiative demonstrates how credit bureaus can create solutions with strong social impact by reducing fraud risks, strengthening financial literacy, and giving individuals greater control over their credit history.
